TSC’s New TTP-244 Pro Offers Faster Print Speeds at the Same Price Point

TSC has introduced the TTP-244 Pro, a four-inch-wide desktop thermal transfer label printer that is 25 percent faster than its predecessor, the popular TTP-244 Plus, yet is available at the same price point, making it significantly more affordable than comparable printers offering far fewer features.
The new TTP-244 Pro operates at speeds up to 5 inches per second and features an upgraded stepping motor that is an improvement over the already popular two-motor design of the TTP-244 Plus, whose price-performance combination has made it one of the top-selling print engines in its class.
Zebra Introduces ZD500 Performance Desktop Barcode Label Printer

The new Zebra ZD500 is an addition to Zebra’s family of performance desktop label printers, offering advanced features and the ultimate in connectivity options. It is designed for applications where print speed and quality are critical. Featuring the Link-OS environment, an open platform that pairs an operating system for smart Zebra devices with powerful software apps, the ZD500 is easy to integrate, manage and maintain from anywhere around the globe. This is ideal for applications such as retail, where onsite technical support may not be available and operator training is minimal.
Two key factors distinguish the ZD500 from other Zebra performance desktop printers:
- Link-OS to provide remote printer management or cloud-based connectivity

Unitech’s Newest 2D Scanner Additions – FC77 and FC75
Unitech is launching the FC75 and FC77, two different hands-free scanners that offer unique features to customer-facing applications. They are currently available and will be showcased at Vartech 2014 in New Orleans next month.

Seagull Scientific’s BarTender 9.2 End of Support

In the process of making their BarTender software one of the leading label applications, Seagull Scientific is continually updating and improving  features in BarTender. As new versions are released previous ones eventually cannot continue to be supported.Â
As of September 1st, 2014 version 9.2 of BarTender will no loner be supported. It is possible to upgrade to the current 10.1 version of the software with a simple update.
