Barcodes, Inc. Optimizes Valcom, Inc.’s Manufacturing Facility with AirTrack S1

Posted January 16, 2017

Valcom, Inc. is a manufacturer of IP and analog voice paging systems, IP centric multimodal systems and telecommunications enhancements. They are focused on manufacturing the best products available in their 120,000 square foot facility and quickly getting the product out to their respective distributors across the world. Valcom, Inc. was looking for a way to print barcode labels for their products and then use a barcode scanner for data entry and barcode verification.

Barcodes, Inc. recommended the AirTrack S1 for Valcom, Inc.’s scanning needs. The S1 is a linear imager barcode scanner that offers 400 reads per second which is ideal for fast scanning and reading poor barcode labels. Additionally, the S1 is able to withstand repeated drops from 5 feet to concrete. AirTrack devices are commonly used in manufacturing, logistics, warehouse, and retail environments. Since implementing their scanning solution, Valcom, Inc. has been able to better organize their inventory and ensure products are being delivered to the right distributors. Furthermore, they were able to gain peace of mind by purchasing an AirTrack comprehensive service contract, which covers them against defects, normal wear and tear, and factory upgrades.

Cell Touch Uses AirTrack S1 for Retail Point of Sale

Posted December 14, 2016

Cell Touch is an authorized dealer for MetroPCS across Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, and Florida. They reached out to Barcodes, Inc. because they were having complications with their existing barcode scanners, which had sub-par scanning performance and consistently broke on-site. Cell Touch wanted a barcode scanner that wouldn’t require the clerks at their retail locations to scan multiple times to get a good read and something that was capable of providing good-read feedback. Additionally, they wanted a hands-free solution that allowed their clerks to simply wave the barcode across the line of sight instead of having to manually pick up the barcode scanner to scan.

Barcodes, Inc. recommended the AirTrack S1 for Cell Touch’s retail point of sale locations. The S1 is a small, lightweight, and ergonomic barcode scanner that comes equipped with Green Spot technology for good-read feedback. The AirTrack barcode scanner is also available with a gooseneck stand that offers a flexible and hands-free scanning solution at the point of sale. Barcodes worked with Cell Touch to test out the S1 at 15 of their retail locations. Upon receiving positive feedback from the individual stores’ employees they moved forward with launching AirTrack as their scanning brand of choice. Cell Touch is expanding into new locations and Barcodes, Inc. will continue to be their trusted data capture advisor.

AirTrack S1 Used for Check-In/Check-Out and Attendance Tracking at Red Deer Public School District

Posted December 12, 2016

Lindsay Thurber Comprehensive High School, part of the Red Deer Public School District, was looking for a cost effective way to check items in and out of the library and bookstore. Additionally, the school wanted to use the same scanner in a different part of their school to track the attendance of their students by scanning the barcode off of their students’ ID cards. Most importantly, they wanted something that was compatible with their existing management and tracking software.

Barcodes, Inc. recommended the AirTrack S1 for both their check-in/check-out and attendance tracking applications. The S1 is a great linear imager that offers versatile barcode scanning and is equipped with green spot technology for good-read feedback. Barcodes supplied Red Deer Public School District with a demo device to test the compatibility with their software. They were more than pleased with the compatibility and performance of the AirTrack scanner. Furthermore, they were impressed to have a great reference with the University of Notre Dame Hesburgh Library. The school district is already working with Barcodes, Inc. on a new project to implement barcode scanners into their ACORN fee management system, which will involve more AirTrack barcode scanners.
