Star’s WebPRNT Browser Now Available on the iTunes App Store and Google Play

webprnt browser 2015-03-24 at 4.26.14 pmStar has released its WebPRNT Browser to extend Star’s WebPRNT technology for web based receipt printing to customers using Star’s portable and desktop receipt printers in a mobile environment using Bluetooth connectivity.

Star’s WebPRNT Browser allows you to print receipts or data from a web browser-based application running on a mobile device to a Star Bluetooth printer wirelessly. To begin, configure Star’s WebPRNT Browser to open the desired web-based application which supports WebPRNT and print to the desired Bluetooth printer. Once configured, the user simply pairs their mobile device to a Star Bluetooth printer, opens the application on Star’s WebPRNT Browser and prints from the application. Easy to set up for both application developers and end users, Star’s WebPRNT Browser combines the utility of WebPRNT’s webbased receipt printing technology with the simplicity of Bluetooth connectivity.

New Labels for the Star SM-T400i Portable Printer

Star has announced new direct thermal labels certified to work with the SM-T400i portable Bluetooth printer. As the widest format portable Bluetooth printer in Star’s “i” Series, the SM-T400i is a rugged four inch (112mm) portable Bluetooth printer with a wide 104mm printable area, ideal for data-filled service reports, delivery notes or law enforcement citations. The SM-T400i includes both transmissive and reflective sensors, enabling label printing.

The new printing options will help quickly and easily print labels ideal for government, healthcare, manufacturing, retail, and shipping and receiving industry applications. With three thermal label sizes available in various heights, the SM-T400i can accommodate most labeling applications with the ability to print from virtually any device.

Star Announces Wi-Fi Capable DK-AirCash

Expanding the field for mobile point of sale solutions, Star introduced its DK-AirCash accessory for enabling secure cash payments in mPOS. Normally, cash drawers are manually operated or by a wired connection to a receipt printer. The DK-AirCash allows you to control a cash drawer directly through an Ethernet, Bluetooth, MFi certified Bluetooth, and now Wi-Fi connection. Star’s DK-AirCash makes “wireless” operation of an existing hard-wired cash drawer possible.

With Wi-Fi interface, Star’s DK-AirCash SAC10EW-24 US model is compatible with all devices running on Android, iOS, and Window platforms. The new Wi-Fi DK-Aircash will provide merchants the ability to use their cash drawer on a network without the hassle of running a cable to the cash drawer. se1-qbDenso has recently unveiled their new SE1-QB Bluetooth wireless 2-D barcode scanner. The easy to use and capable companion scanner for any smartphone or tablet.

The lightweight yet durably built SE1-QB measures only 3.9 inches long, 1.6 inches wide, and 1.1 inches thick, and weighs only 2.1 ounces. The device is designed to serve as the front end of a mobile data capture system consisting of a bluetooth barcode scanner and host smartphone or tablet.
