New Wi-Fi Interfaces for TSC Printers
The new TSC RF-WRN dual band modules are faster, more robust, work on more wireless networks, and offer improved performance and connectivity. The new Wi-Fi modules are designed to work with TSC’s standard network management tools to make it simple to integrate and manage TSC printers on a network. The modules will be offered as factory or user installed options.
The Wi-Fi option will initially available on the following TSC printer models:
- TTP-2410MT Thermal Transfer Rugged Industrial Series
- MX240 Thermal Transfer High Performance, Mission Critical Industrial Series
- TX200 High Performance Thermal Transfer Desktop series
- Alpha-3R/ Alpha-4L Direct Thermal Portable
TSC’s Alpha-3R, Alpha-4L Mobile Printers Now MFi Certified
TSC has received Apple license approval of its Alpha-3R and Alpha-4L handheld mobile printers, certifying them as an MFi hardware accessories. The licensing enables TSC to advertise the Alpha-3R and Alpha-4L as Apple-approved MFi devices and display MFi-related logos on their product packaging.
Operating in Bluetooth mode, the Alpha-3R can print receipts, tickets, proof of delivery, invoices and other documentation direct from iPhone and iPad Apple devices. The Alpha-4L can print direct from iPhone, iPad and iPod devices. The result: increased transaction efficiency and improved worker productivity.
TSC Expands Portable Printer Line with the New Alpha-4L
TSC has expanded its new Alpha series of portable printers with the recent introduction of the Alpha-4L, a new portable four-inch-wide-format label printer designed for the manufacturing, transportation/logistics, and retail industries.
Higher performance at its class
The Alpha-4L’s performance-enhancing features include a 5800 mAh large-capacity battery for extended operation, expanded memory to accommodate advanced applications and future firmware enhancements, reliable Bluetooth and 802.11b/g/n wireless communications and a large paper capacity
67.3 mm (2.65”) OD to reduce the frequency of changing paper rolls.
Durability
When used with its optional IP54-rated environmental case, the Alpha-4L offers protection against dust, dirt, moisture, temperature extremes and other harsh field conditions. The printer’s rubber over-mold case is designed to keep the unit working normally even after a 1.5 m (5 ft) drop. When using its environmental case, it can withstand a 1.8 m (6 ft) drop test. And with a high-capacity battery and paper roll, the Alpha-4L maximizes productivity, providing efficient service over a full day’s duty cycle.
