TSC’s Alpha-3R, Alpha-4L Mobile Printers Now MFi Certified

2015-03-04_0918TSC has received Apple license approval of its Alpha-3R and Alpha-4L handheld mobile printers, certifying them as an MFi hardware accessories. The licensing enables TSC to advertise the Alpha-3R and Alpha-4L as Apple-approved MFi devices and display MFi-related logos on their product packaging.

Operating in Bluetooth mode, the Alpha-3R can print receipts, tickets, proof of delivery, invoices and other documentation direct from iPhone and iPad Apple devices.  The Alpha-4L can print direct from iPhone, iPad and iPod devices. The result: increased transaction efficiency and improved worker productivity.

The lightweight Alpha-3R and Alpha-4L are ideally suited for creating on-demand labels, receipts, tickets and other items, making them ideally suited for the manufacturing, transportation/logistics, and retail industries. With their high-speed processors and extensive memory, both units can print at speeds of up to 4 inches per second. They also accommodate large paper rolls, eliminating frequent roll changes.

The Alpha-3R and Alpha-4L are not only fast, but also rugged. The Alpha-3R features an IP54-rated protective case that is resistant to dust and water, along with a tough rubber over-mold design that allows the unit to withstand a 5-foot drop and keep printing. The Alpha-4L’s plastic design with rubber over-mold construction that withstands 1.5 m drop and also features an IP-54-rated protective case that is built to withstand a 6-foot drop.

Both printers are equipped with high-capacity rechargeable Lithium Ion batteries – the Alpha-3R a 2500 mAh battery and the Alpha-4L at 5800 mAh battery – that allow the units to print receipts for up to 12 hours on a single battery charge.
