Motorola Introduces The New LI2208 Linear Imager

Posted July 9, 2013

The Motorola LI2208 general purpose corded linear imager delivers the same reliability and ergonomics of our most popular scanner, the LS2208, with enhanced features that let you scan more types of bar codes, faster and at a greater distance. Whether your workers are scanning bar codes printed on paper labels or electronic bar codes displayed on the screen of a mobile phone, tablet or computer, they can count on unparalleled performance, every time.

The patented optical design delivers an industry-leading working range, from near contact to as far as 55 in./139.7 cm away — ideal for large items in the basket at the retail POS as well as components on a conveyor. In addition, scanning has never been easier — bar codes can be captured at extreme angles, so workers spend less time fiddling with the scanner and more time on task.

The optional stand enables workers to automatically switch between handheld and hands-free scanning modes. A patented single circuit board improves reliability by eliminating the two most common points of failure — connectors and ribbon cables. And with support for over 90 international keyboards plus smart auto-host detect cables that know what interface is attached, deployment couldn’t be easier.
