Posted July 11, 2012

Microscan will demonstrate its latest products, designed to ensure process traceability and increase throughput in clinical applications, in the company’s booth, #2537, at the AACC’s Clinical Lab Expo. The event, which is the largest clinical lab exposition in the world, takes place July 17-19, 2012, at the Los Angeles Convention Center, Los Angeles, CA

The premier global provider of embedded barcode scanners and imagers for clinical diagnostics applications, Microscan has 30+ years experience in both Auto ID and machine vision technologies. Known for its compact, high precision products, Microscan will display fixed mount and handheld barcode readers for 1D and 2D barcodes, as well as machine vision systems for automated inspection applications.

MS-2D barcode imaging engine –  The MS-2D engine is an ultracompact barcode imaging system designed specifically for embedded applications. Featuring advanced technologies for decoding, the MS-2D includes a dual optical field for reliable reading of both large 1D barcodes and high density 2D symbols.

Handheld 1D and 2D barcode scanners and imagers – Microscan offers a range of high performance handheld products for accurate data collection, including the new HS-21, with powerful decode algorithms for 1D and 2D codes. It features an ergonomic design that is easily washed down with standard decontaminants.

Vision MINI smart camera – The world’s smallest vision system, the Vision MINI is now available with a global shutter for high speed processing. Designed to provide reliable performance in embedded identification and inspection applications, it is ideal for barcode reading, fill level verification, and label inspection. The Vision MINI was developed for OEMs, with a small form factor (1.80 x 2.10 x 1.00”) that allows for flexible positioning in tight spaces.
