Unitech Introduces MT650 Fixed Mount Computer

Posted October 31, 2011

Unitech introduces the new MT650 Fixed Mount Computer, designed to give customers full control over employee attendance, access control, loyalty programs, and work-in-progress applications.

With a Windows CE 6.0 operating system, the MT650 offers an open platform for quick and easy integration. The terminal has its own SDK (software development kit), enabling developers to create their own applications straight out of the box. A sleek design and a sharp 5.7” VGA touch screen give the MT650 a solid presentation and inviting interface for employees and visitors alike.

The MT650 offers various options for capturing data, including proximity readers (EM125KHz, HID and Mifare), barcode reader and biometric reader. The standard built-in 2-megapixel CMOS camera, microphone and speaker offer a heightened level of security for continuous surveillance. Ethernet is standard on the MT650, with WiFi optional. The MT650 also offers Power-Over-Ethernet (POE) support, which requires no additional power source other than the Ethernet connection.

The on-board battery ensures that device operation and data back up remain in case of power failure. Full control is provided for two relay outputs and two optical isolated digital inputs. While the inputs detect incoming requests and instructions, the relay outputs can be used to control other devices, such as doors, lighting or external cameras. As a standalone unit, the MT650 can store data locally or on a network server. An SD memory expansion slot provides ample space to hold all logged data.

“The MT650 is uniquely tailored for time and attendance management and access control functions for business in various industries. It puts the control firmly into the hands of the business, and with its open platform, SDK and controllable inputs and outputs, gives the flexibility for fulfilling a variety of business needs,” said Shelley Wu, Product Marketing Manager, Time and Attendance Terminal Product Team.
