TSC’s New TX200 High-Performance Desktop Printer
TSC has introduced its new TX200 Series, a high-performance desktop label printer designed to handle a wide variety of applications ranging from high-volume production of shipping labels to safety signage and fine-jewelry labeling.
The TX200 Series is the latest next-generation TSC desktop printer to support an economically efficient 300-meter ribbon on a one-inch core. The new printer features several firsts for TSC, including an LED multi-icon display (standard), blazing fast print speeds of up to 8 inches per second, a more user-friendly patented label-holder design, and an optional color LCD display. The TX200 Series will be available worldwide starting in Q1 2015
Fast speeds, highest resolutions
The TX200 Series supports more applications than any other printer in its class. With three available models, the four-inch-wide-format TX200 Series can address a wide variety of print jobs, including high-volume 4 x 6 shipping labels, higher-resolution product marking and graphics, and high-resolution labels used in electronics marking applications. The TX200 Series includes the following models:
- TX200 – 203 dpi resolution, with print speeds up to 8 inches per second
- TX300 – 300 dpi resolution, with print speeds up to 6 inches per second
- TX600 – 600 dpi resolution for precise calibration and registration required for printing the smallest labels
All of the models are equipped with a 300-meter ribbon supply on a one-inch core, which saves both time and money. They also feature a user-friendly spring-loaded center-biased clamshell design for easy drop-in media loading. Rugged double-wall construction makes the TX200 stronger and more durable than other thermal-transfer printers on the market, and its powerful motor can easily handle a 300-meter-long ribbon.
Standard interfaces include USB 2.0, USB-A Host, 10/100 Mbps Ethernet and serial connectivity. Optional communications interfaces include Bluetooth, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi and Centronic Parallel. Printer options include a color LCD display, label peel-and-present module, and cutter.
