TSC MX240 Series: New High-Performance Industrial Label Printer

TSC has introduced its new MX240 Series, a high-performance industrial label printer designed to handle tough mission-critical applications around the clock. The MX240 Series features a die-cast aluminum print mechanism housed in a durable, yet lightweight, chassis that is built to handle heavy-duty demand cycles typically seen in manufacturing, logistics/shipping, and product-identification applications. MX240 Series will be available worldwide starting in the middle of March, 2014.

Superb resolution, great warranty

The MX240 Series is available in three models: the MX240, MX340 and MX640. The MX240 prints at 203 dpi at speeds up to 14 inches per second, while the MX340 offers 300 dpi resolution at speeds up to 12 inches per second. The MX640 prints at a sharp 600 dpi resolution, making it ideal for producing fine print, graphics, small 2D barcodes and other ultra-high-resolution images. All the models are backed by a two-year limited warranty, one of the best in the industry.

Top-of-the-line speed, loads of standard features

Equipped with a 536 Mhz processor, our fastest ever, the MX240 boosts productivity with high-speed communications and ultra-fast printing speeds. The printer comes loaded with standard features, including a 4.3” color touch display with six menu buttons, 600-meter ribbons and 8-inch outside-diameter media rolls for high-volume printing, built-in Ethernet, two USB hosts for keyboard and scanner connections, and USB 2.0, parallel and serial interfaces. An industry-standard GPIO port is available as an option.

Memory to spare

The MX240 Series is loaded with memory, including 256 MB SDRAM and 128 MB FLASH, providing more than enough space for storage of fonts, international character sets and graphics. The printer also features a secure digital (SD) FLASH memory card reader for inexpensively adding up to 32 GB of memory.

Powerful TSPL-EZ printer programming language

The MX240 Series is bundled with TSPL-EZ firmware, which incorporates three different printer languages: TSC printer language, TPLE (Translation Printer Language Eltron) and TPLZ (Translation Printer Language Zebra). Versatile and easy to use, the firmware supports internal scalable True Type fonts and features a BASIC interpreter with a file manager for creating powerful printer-interface applications for multiple host types.
