The New Zebra QLn420 Mobile Printer

Zebra has announced the availability of their new QLn420 mobile label printer.

The QLn420 extends the functionality already established in the QL series of direct thermal mobile label printers by providing higher performance and greater ease of use. With improved manageability and enhanced wireless LAN options, the QLn420 is ideally suited for 4-inch-wide label printing applications in tough environments such as warehouses and distribution centers. This release is in addition to the already launched QLn220 and QLn320 models and completes our QLn family of products.

Multiple enhancements deliver significant operational advantages over the previous generation QL and QL Plus mobile label printers:

• Better performance: The QLn420 features a high-speed processor for faster throughput, as well as increased memory to store complex fonts, graphics and images and also to support the printer’s advanced functions and future firmware improvements.
• Easier to use: With a compact design, improved user controls and a larger, customizable interface with intuitive navigation, the QLn420 is easy to use and manage. In addition, the printer features improved communication with leading handheld terminals and can be managed using popular third-party software applications such as Airwatch Connector.
• Compatible with a variety of mobile platforms: Utilize Zebra’s Link-OS Software Development Kit to create printing applications for a wide range of mobile platforms including Apple, Android, Windows CE, Windows Mobile and Blackberry.
• Latest wireless LAN standards: Its 802.11a/b/g/n wireless radio gives end-users a more robust and reliable connectivity option and allows them to select the least congested band on which to operate. The QLn420 also comes with a Bluetooth radio option, making it easier for users to transmit data between the printer and mobile computer or handheld device.
• Enhanced accessories: A wide range of available accessories—including an AC adaptor, smart battery charger, Ethernet cradle, quad battery charger, removable fork lift cradle, fork lift mount, and carrying straps and cases—makes the QLn420 easy to store, carry and use.
