New Skorpio X3 Mobile Computers with Improved 2D Performance

Datalogic has announce that the highly successful Skorpio X3 mobile computer product line has been further enhanced with improved 2D performance and a new keypad option.

Regarding the improved performance of the 2D feature, both depth-of-field and decoding speed have been significantly improved in order to provide the best state-of-the-art solution.

Datalogic is pleased to expand the number of available standard 2D configurations offering a wide variety of pistol grip models, now featuring an extended battery pack by default to support scan-intensive 2D applications.

Additionally, a fourth standard keyboard layout joins the current 28-key Numeric, 38-key Functional and 50-key Full Alphanumeric standard models. The 28-key keyboard model will now be available in a ‘Functional Numeric version for expanded availability of first strike function key.

Features and Benefits

  • The depth-of-field for the 2D feature has been increased:
    • Old spec: 3.5 to 41.5 cm / 1.4 to 16.4 in
    • New spec: 4.0 to 62.7 cm / 1.6 to 24.7 in, depending on bar code density and type
  • The extended battery pack is now included as ‘standard’ on all 2D pistol grip models to support scan intensive 2D applications
  • New ‘Functional Numeric’ keyboard layout for expanded availability of first strike function keys on the 28-key version (F1 to F11).
