New TotalFreedom Software Plug-ins EasyParse for Motor Vehicle Documents (MVD) and EasyParse for GS1

Honeywell’s new EasyParse for Motor Vehicle Documents plug-in parses the bar code data on US government-issued non-identity documents and compliments the TotalFreedom plug-in for identity documents, EasyDL. Ideal for accelerating e-citation and/or vehicle inspection applications, EasyParse for Motor Vehicle Documents enables users to transmit data fields for vehicle titles and registrations used by police departments, motor vehicle agencies, vehicle service centers and other organizations, improving administrative efficiency and customer satisfaction by reducing wasted time associated with document renewal, inspection and verification.

Honeywell’s EasyParse for GS1 software plug-in parses application identifiers (AI) found in various bar code symbologies as outlined in the GS1 General Specifications, and delivers the selected data sets in the format supported by the host application. Organizations in many industries—including retail, healthcare, transportation and logistics, consumer electronics manufacturing and defense—have a need to achieve compliance with various GS1 Sunrise initiatives in order to maximize efficiency and maintain positive trade relationships. For example, retail customers with the Easy Parse for GS1 plug-in can more easily parse the longer 70 character coupon codes to extract only the promotional items that are of interest to their point-of-sale (POS) software. And, with this plug-in, retailers no longer need to invest in a costly and time intensive core POS software upgrade to be able to meet the GS1 General Specifications.
