CipherLab Introduces Barcode Scanner Designed for iOS and Android Devices

Posted December 31, 2012

CipherLab has announced the upcoming availability of the CipherLab 1663, an enhanced performance barcode scanner for the iOS and Android devices. The 1663 expands upon CipherLab’s popular 1600 Series line of barcode scanners by providing an enhanced performance option for reading 1D barcodes into smart devices.

The CipherLab 1663 Bluetooth Barcode Scanner is a 1D imager-based barcode reader that can decode both printed barcodes and barcodes displayed on device screens. It features an easy pairing method to enable barcode reading capability for smart devices.

“Most of our customers only need to scan 1D barcodes for sales force automation or field service but they requested for an enhanced decoding capability on our current 1660/1661 pocket-size Bluetooth barcode scanner.” said Luis Wu, General Manager CipherLab USA Inc.

The 1600 series is compatible with the iOS, Android, BlackBerry and Windows operating systems and also comes with functional utilities and accessories, enabling workers on-the-go to work efficiently and effectively. In addition to CipherLab ScanMaster software that provides easy and fast custom configuration, the 1600 series Bluetooth scanners are supported by CipherConnect and the 3610 transponder to integrate with smart devices and simplify the pairing process.

The 1663 is expected to be available for purchase in Q1 2013. For more details and specifications regarding CipherLab 1663 Bluetooth Barcode Scanner, contact us at BarcodesInc.
