Posted September 7, 2017

honeywell-thor-vm3-vehicle-mount-vm3w2f3a1bus06a-75bDisruptions in the supply chain can be costly for businesses, and in today’s business world it’s either you adapt or get left behind. One product that can help your business adapt and at the same time give you a significant competitive advantage is the Thor VM3 Vehicle-Mount Computer. The Thor VM3 comes with Smart Dock which delivers immediate impact savings on support and maintenance costs. The cost savings from the Smart Dock come as a result of all the maximized efficiency that allows users to undock the computer from one forklift and redock it on another vehicle in a matter of seconds. This helps the workers adapt as the workload changes throughout the day or week.  A field-replaceable front panel reduces your capital and maintenance cost by integrating two of the most wear and abuse prone components, the keyboard and the touchscreen, into a user-replaceable part all with the simple use of a screwdriver.

This Honeywell vehicle-mount computer has an IP66 rated design and was designed to withstand all the vibrations and shocks that is generally created when a forklift is in operation. Safety is also a big proponent of the Thor VM3 with a screen blanking option that restricts driver access to the screen when the vehicle is moving to comply with the highest safety standards. The rugged vehicle-mount computer was made to withstand multiple environments from dry goods to cold storage, indoors or outdoors, and in-premise or in intermodal facilities. The Thor VM3 comes with the Intel x86 architecture and Dual Core 1.5GHz processor that enable superior performance with data-intensive applications.

Posted September 5, 2017

In a world constantly searching for opportunities to stay mobilized, we are increasingly seeing every industry equipping their work force with rugged smartphones and scanner sleds. This gives the user the ability to scan and track on the go in addition to processing credit card payments in the field. Rugged smartphones and sleds have been emerging into the marketplace to help companies stay more productive away from the desk and also decrease high capital equipment costs. While there are many options on the market today, this sector is expected to see a 2-3% growth in the next few years with many new hardware and software products emerging.
