TrueView - How to Add an Asset
My Assets
This screen provides a detailed view of all assets added to the services portal from purchase history or created in the TrueView portal. Each Asset correlates to an Asset Serial Number, Manufacturer, Model and if the Asset includes an OEM Contract, Barcodes Contract or True Support Contract. From this screen, you can view individual Assets, export all Assets to a CSV file and add an individual Asset or load using the Bulk Import utility.
Adding an Asset is a simple process and a great way to manage your assets even if not purchased from Barcodes. Once the asset is added, a service ticket can be created for repair or once a True Support contract is added to the Asset, supported by our Professional Services team. Assets can be added individually by selecting Add Asset or bulk imported by selecting Import Assets and using the Bulk Import utility.
Enter the product name and the search field will populate with items. Scroll to item and the portal will populate Model and Manufacturer. Asset Serial Number and Asset Tag ID are user defined
Asset Detail Screen
For a detailed view of an Asset, simply click on any of the attributes in an Asset row and you will navigate to the Asset Detail screen. This screen provides details of the Asset including Last Shipped Location from a sales order or repair, existing Contracts, and the Ticket history for an Asset.
