MagTek MiniWedge Stripe Reader Card Reader
Powered by the keyboard port--no external power supply required.
The MiniWedge Stripe Reader reads information from tracks 1, 2, and/or 3, comes with a keyboard wedge interface (PS/2 or AT), and is available in black or white finish. Keyboard Emulation Software Interface: Data is sent as if it were a USB keyboard. Read data can be viewed in applications such as Windows Notepad without requiring additional drivers or application programming. Human Interface Device (HID) Software Interface: A developed or modified application is required to communicate with this device. Data will not be seen in applications such as Windows Notepad. USB Swipe & Insert Reader Demo Program can be used to communicate with the USB SureSwipe Swipe Card Reader.

About Credit Card Reader
Credit Card Reader (AKA, MSR, mag stripe/swipe readers) are essential for accepting credit or debit cards at the POS. They can be attached via keyboard wedge, serial port (rs-232) or USB, and are most often configured to read tracks one and two, or track two only. Though often referred to as credit card readers, mag stripe readers can read many cards with magnetic stripes, including some driver's licenses and ID cards. PC connected, keyboard and portable units available.
