What barcode types can the Datalogic GM4500-HC-910-WLC scanner read?
The GM4500-HC features an omnidirectional 2D imager that reads all common 1D and 2D barcodes, including Code 39, EAN-13, Data Matrix, PDF417, QR codes, and postal codes. It also supports stacked and composite codes, making it ideal for general-purpose warehouse and healthcare applications. We offer this scanner with standard range (SR) or high-density (HD) resolution options to match your specific barcode sizes.
Does the GM4500-HC-910-WLC include wireless charging capability?
Yes, the GM4500-HC features Datalogic's innovative contactless wireless charging system (WLC), which enhances reliability and eliminates wear from traditional charging contacts. The scanner supports Datalogic's patented 2-position cradle with 'Scan-While-Charging' capability, allowing operators to charge the device while continuing to scan. This wireless charging approach is particularly valuable in healthcare environments where disinfection and hygiene are critical concerns.
What connectivity options are available for this cordless barcode scanner?
The GM4500-HC-910-WLC offers two wireless connectivity choices: Datalogic's STAR cordless system operating at 910 MHz, or Bluetooth wireless technology. Both options provide point-to-point and point-to-multipoint transmission with batch mode capability storing over 1,200 codes in memory. Contact us today to determine which connectivity option best fits your warehouse or healthcare network infrastructure.
Is the Datalogic GM4500-HC suitable for healthcare environments?
Yes, the GM4500-HC is specifically designed for healthcare applications with disinfectant-ready enclosures treated with anti-microbial additives (ISO22196 and JISZ 2801 compliant). The scanner includes a vibration feedback option ideal for quiet bedside patient care environments, and its wireless charging system eliminates contact points that could harbor contaminants. We offer this healthcare-certified model to support infection control protocols in hospital and clinical settings.
What is the reading range and motion tolerance of the GM4500-HC?
The GM4500-HC Standard Range model provides reading distances from 7.0 to 58.0 cm (2.7 to 22.8 inches) depending on barcode type and size, with typical depth of field determined by symbol length and scan angle. The scanner features advanced motion tolerance of 35 IPS and omnidirectional reading angles of ±65° pitch and ±65° skew with 360° roll capability. Its highly visible 4-dot aimer with center cross ensures targeted, accurate scanning in fast-paced warehouse environments.
