TOP TECHNOLOGIES FOR TODAY'S POS
Perfect for both hand held and presentation reading, the Gryphon I GD4500 imager exploits Datalogic's Motionix motion-sensing technology which detects the natural actions of the operator to automatically switch the scanner into the desired scanning mode. This technology works with or without the use of a stand, offering more operational choices. Both the aimer and sensor can be programmed to the user's desired preferences.
Datalogic distinctive reading technology with highly visible white illumination is easier on the human eyes and reads colored labels better. The highly visible 4-Dot aimer defines a precise reading zone and reduces accidental reads, while the aimer's center cross provides a locator for targeted scanning in a multiple bar code environment.
SIMPLE TO USE AND DEPLOY
The Gryphon I GD4500 omnidirectional imager provides snappy reading performance on all common 1D and 2D codes as well as postal, stacked and composite codes like PDF417. High Density (HD) models are also available for reading smaller, condensed codes. A dedicated version with red illumination optics reads Digital Watermarking.
For mobile marketing or ticketing applications, this imager also offers excellent performance when reading bar codes from mobile devices. The enhanced optics offer improved motion tolerance and high speed imaging to read fast moving codes.

Is the GD4520 barcode scanner suitable for high-density barcode reading?
Yes, the GD4520-BKK1-HD-DRA model is specifically designed for high-density barcode reading with an advanced Megapixel sensor and white-illumination 2D technology. The high-density variant excels at reading closely-spaced or small barcodes in demanding warehouse environments. Contact us today to confirm this model meets your specific scanning requirements.
What is Motionix technology and how does it work on the GD4520?
Motionix is Datalogic's motion-sensing technology that automatically detects the natural actions of the user to switch the scanner between handheld and presentation reading modes. This eliminates the need for manual mode switching or mechanical buttons, allowing seamless transitions when you pick up or set down the scanner. The GD4520 leverages this technology for improved ergonomics and operational efficiency in fast-paced environments.
What are the environmental specifications and durability ratings for the GD4520?
The GD4520 withstands repeated drops from 1.8 meters (6.0 feet) onto concrete and features IP52 particulate and water sealing for warehouse durability. It operates in ambient light up to 100,000 lux, humidity from 0-95% non-condensing, and temperatures from 0-50°C (32-122°F), with ESD protection rated at 16 kV. The disinfectant-ready antimicrobial coating makes it suitable for sanitized environments, and we offer this model ready to deploy in demanding logistics operations.
What connectivity options does the GD4520 provide?
The GD4520 model features USB connectivity and operates on 5 VDC input voltage with typical operating current under 300 mA. It includes a USB cable in the kit for immediate deployment. If you require multi-interface options like RS-232 or keyboard wedge connectivity, contact us today to explore the GD4590 alternative or discuss your specific integration needs.
How does the GD4520's 4-dot aimer improve scanning accuracy?
The GD4520 features a highly visible 4-dot aimer with a center cross that precisely defines the reading zone and reduces accidental reads in multi-barcode environments. The steady, deep red illumination is easier on operator eyes compared to flickering alternatives, improving comfort during extended use. This design helps warehouse teams scan with confidence and accuracy in high-volume picking and receiving operations. Visit barcodesinc.com to learn more about this scanner's ergonomic advantages.
