The Xenon Ultra 1962GH offers an improved design, developed with the healthcare environment in mind. Space in a congested patient room or ICU can be limited, to solve this the Xenon Ultra 1962GH was designed to offer freedom of movement and take up minimal space. One Xenon Ultra 1962GH scanner can now accept multiple power sources, available with a battery-free supercapacitor or standard lithium-ion battery, both of which are also available in contactless orientations. The battery-free technology runs on supercapacitors, enabling the Xenon Ultra 1962GH to achieve a full charge in less than four minutes vie the USB Port or under 60 seconds when using a powered USB port or external wall adapter.

Every 1962h model features disinfectant-ready antimicrobial housings that can be safely cleaned with a wide range of disinfectants without damaging the device. The scanner’s smooth, sealed design minimizes crevices where germs could accumulate, supporting hospital hygiene protocols

The scanner supports two interchangeable power options: - A 3300 mAh lithium-ion battery providing up to 80,000 scans per charge and about 22 hours of operation. - A battery-free supercapacitor option that charges fully in under 60 seconds and delivers 450 scans per charge. Both options are available in contact or contactless configurations, giving healthcare teams flexibility across mixed fleets

It uses a 2.4 GHz Bluetooth v4.2 radio with Adaptive Frequency Hopping to minimize interference. - Class 1 range: up to 100 m (328 ft) line of sight (default) - Class 2 range: programmable to 10 m (33 ft) The scanner also supports Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) mode for extended battery efficiency

The scanner features a 1280 × 1080 pixel imager with motion tolerance up to 4 m/s and a field of view of 42° × 36°. It can read 1D, 2D, PDF, Postal, Digimarc, DOT Code, and OCR symbologies—even from low-contrast or damaged barcodes. Its green-dot aimer improves targeting for faster bedside workflows
