The Fargo HDP5600 delivers 300 dpi continuous tone printing with support for up to 16.7 million colors and 256 shades per pixel. We offer multiple ribbon configurations including full-color YMCKO (250 prints), full-color YMCKOK with dual black panels (200 prints), fluorescing options, and single-color resin or dye-sublimation black ribbons (500-1000 prints). The printer also supports rewrite technology that requires no ribbon, providing flexibility for different ID card production needs.
Print speed varies by ribbon configuration: 7 seconds per card for black-only (K), 12 seconds for black with overlay (KO), 24 seconds for full-color (YMCKO), and 31 seconds for full-color with dual black panels (YMCKOK). These speeds measure from card drop to output hopper and do not include encoding or PC processing time.
The HDP5600 accepts standard CR-80 cards (3.375" x 2.125") and CR-79 adhesive-back cards, with card thickness ranging from 9 mil to 40 mil. Compatible card materials include PVC or polyester cards with polished PVC finish, though 100% polyester cards require monochrome resin printing.
The bundle includes USB 2.0 connectivity via a USB printer cable, Asure ID Express Photo ID Software for card design and production, and a high-end USB digital web camera for capturing photos. One year of Asure ID technical support is also included to ensure smooth operation.
The HDP5600 supports multiple encoding options including 125 kHz HID Prox readers, 13.56 MHz contactless smart card encoding (iCLASS, MIFARE, ISO 14443 A/B, ISO 15693), contact smart card encoding for ISO 7816 cards, and ISO magnetic stripe encoding on tracks 1, 2, and 3.
