Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Verkada LIC-GC-10Y-RNW and what does it cover?
The Verkada LIC-GC-10Y-RNW is a 10-year Cellular Gateway License renewal for Verkada surveillance systems. This renewal license enables continued cellular connectivity for your Verkada Cellular Gateway, allowing your video devices to maintain cloud-based management and monitoring capabilities throughout the extended 10-year term. We offer this license as part of our comprehensive Verkada product lineup to ensure uninterrupted surveillance operations.
How does the Cellular Gateway license differ from Cellular Gateway Data plans?
The Cellular Gateway license (like the LIC-GC-10Y-RNW) provides the core connectivity infrastructure for your gateway device itself, while Cellular Gateway Data plans (such as LIC-GC-1VD-1Y-RNW) provide unlimited data for individual video devices connected through that gateway. The gateway license is the foundation that enables the gateway hardware to function, whereas data plans support the actual video streaming and device communication. Both are essential components for a fully operational cellular-connected Verkada surveillance system.
Can I use the 10-year Cellular Gateway license for multiple video devices?
The LIC-GC-10Y-RNW is a Cellular Gateway license that supports the gateway hardware itself, not individual video devices. If you need to connect multiple Verkada video devices through this gateway, you would need to purchase separate Cellular Gateway Data plan licenses (such as LIC-GC-1VD-1Y-RNW or similar) for each device to ensure unlimited data connectivity. Contact us today to discuss the right licensing combination for your multi-device surveillance deployment.
Is this a renewal license or a new installation license?
The LIC-GC-10Y-RNW is specifically a renewal license, as indicated by the 'RNW' designation in the part number. This renewal is designed for customers whose existing Cellular Gateway licenses are expiring and need to extend service for an additional 10 years. If you're setting up a new Verkada Cellular Gateway system, contact us today and our team can help you identify the appropriate initial license options.
What are the licensing term options available for Verkada Cellular Gateway?
We offer Verkada Cellular Gateway licenses in multiple term lengths to fit different operational needs: 1-year (LIC-GC-1Y-RNW at $299.00), 5-year (LIC-GC-5Y-RNW at $1,349.00), and 10-year (LIC-GC-10Y-RNW at $2,699.00) options. The longer-term licenses provide better cost efficiency per year of service. Do you offer government-specific Cellular Gateway licensing options?

These government-specific licenses are designed to meet compliance requirements for public sector deployments.
