Guest We want to scan our PC's when they arrive and track the equipment in a database against a purchase order. We prefer a USB, Windows XP compatible device.

Many of the bar codes on a PC these days tend to be fairly dense and full of information so I would suggest the Honeywell 1300g. This scanner connects to a PC via USB and is compatible with any Windows based software. The scanner will transmit data as a keyboard and can populate any text field with the scanned data.
