We are looking for a bar code scanner/reader which would be cordless and synchronize with our system once docked/connected to the station. The scanner/reader being cordless will be used far away from the station approx 200-250 meters.

Most cordless scanners communicate in real-time back to a base station at shorter distances. In your case I would suggest a batch data collector since you have a large range to deal with and would like to sync with a host PC. TheHoneywell SP5500 is a perfect choice as it collects all your data into a text file in memory which you then upload to a PC when done. It is sold as a complete kit with charger, cables, and software so no additional items are needed.
