For more than four years, the CK3B, CK3N, and CK3BC Series<\/a> provided rugged mobile computing<\/a> for users in many environments and markets. With the introduction of the CK3X<\/a> and CK3R<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0mobile computer series, Intermec<\/a> is providing advanced notice on the retirement of the CK3 Series line of mobile computers. The CK3B, CK3N, and CK3BC mobile computers will reach end-of-build July 28th, 2013. This alert does not apply to the CK3G series mobile computers.<\/p>\n

Due to the popularity of the CK3B, CK3N, and CK3BC mobile computer lines, please note that from April 2013 until the end of build in July 2013,\u00c2\u00a0orders received will be subject to product availability.<\/p>\n

Product Migration<\/strong><\/p>\n

The CK3X<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0and, in some circumstances the CK3R<\/a>, are the recommended solutions for customers seeking a CK3 Series migration path.<\/p>\n

The CK3X and CK3R mobile computers provide an excellent migration path for the CK3B, CK3N, and CK3BC. These new CK3 Series computers maintain the same proven and widely\u00c2\u00a0accepted form factor and out-of-the-box integration with many warehouse management systems<\/a>, along with compatibility will all CK3B accessories.The CK3X and CK3R have the most recent Windows Mobile 6.5 OS and more RAM and Flash compared to the CK3B. Utilizing the 1GHz OMAP processor, the CK3X and CK3R are more responsive in application execution and superior power management capabilities for greater battery life. Integrating the most recent EA30\/EA31 imagers provides superior scanning performance. The CK3X and CK3R have Alphanumeric or Numeric keypad options, 802.11a\/b\/g\/n (CK3X) or b\/g\/n (CK3R), BluetoothClass II, Version 2.1+EDR, increased rugged\u00c2\u00a0specifications, factory pre-loaded ICP software and backward compatibility with the majority of existing CK3B accessories.<\/p>\n
