Compatible products for the beta Android release include all v3 models of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.barcodesinc.com\/socket\/socket-barcode-scanners.htm\">Socket Bluetooth\u00c2\u00ae Cordless Hand Scanner\u00e2\u201e\u00a2 (CHS) Series 7 portable 2D and 1D barcode scanner<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->\u00e2\u20ac\u0153Android market share is expected to grow by more than 50 percent over the next four years, making it the world\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s second most popular mobile device OS according to IDC\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Worldwide Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d said Samantha Chu, data collection product manager at Socket Mobile. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153SocketScan 10 makes it easy for Android developers to integrate commercial-grade barcode scanning into their applications by opening up compatibility to encompass Android OS 2.1 and above. We\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve also added some new features such as EZ Pair technology that assists with establishing a quick connection between the smartphone and scanner.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<h3>SocketScan 10 Availability<\/h3>\n<p>The beta keyboard wedge version of SocketScan 10 software for Google Android will be available to download for free on the Socket Mobile Web site by the end of this month.
