Combining flexibility and speed with easy integration, the RL4 has proven its superior rugged reliability by delivering labels even after a series of grueling tests.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->\u00e2\u20ac\u0153Datamax-O\u00e2\u20ac\u2122Neil conducted extensive market research and concluded that customers needed a portable label printer that could withstand the rugged environments typically found in manufacturing and warehouse operations,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d said Paul Lehmann, director of product management for Datamax-O\u00e2\u20ac\u2122Neil. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Up until now, they have had to rely on stationary <a href=\"https:\/\/www.barcodesinc.com\/cats\/barcode-printers\/\">label printers<\/a> or inferior portable printers which aren\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t designed to withstand harsh and often punishing conditions. We\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve built the RL4 for rugged portability, and designed it so that it can be worn on belts or installed on forklifts or carts to bring label printing to its needed destinations.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p>The RL4 is the only portable label printer to achieve the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/MIL-STD-810\">MIL-STD 810 <\/a>drop standard, which requires 26 consecutive drops at 6 feet to concrete. In addition to its rugged design, it is also easy to use and ready for integration into all the common bar code emulation languages and communication protocols.<\/p>\n<p>The RL4 has a patent-pending design that provides the ability to load and unload media using only one hand. The printer\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s optimized LCD was designed with input from usability experts. Integration is provided by ZPL, CPCL, DPL and IPL emulation. It is easily compatible with Warehouse Management System (WMS) enterprise environments, including SAP, Oracle and AS\/400 protocols, as well as many common label design software packages.
