\nBlackwood, New Jersey \u00e2\u20ac\u201c June 3, 2008 — Wavelink Corporation and Metrologic Instruments today announced that Metrologic has selected Wavelink\u00e2\u201e\u00a2 Emulators and Avalanche Mobility Center\u00e2\u201e\u00a2 software for its SP5700 OptimusPDA mobile computer. This strategic agreement brings the number of mobile device manufacturers pre-licensing and\/or pre-loading Wavelink software to more than a dozen.<\/p>\n

Metrologic is a global supplier of data capture solutions for industries including retail, professional services, transportation and healthcare. With the introduction of its first Windows-based mobile computer, Metrologic will ship each OptimusPDA with Wavelink software already installed on the device and ready for activation by the customer. This gives Metrologic customers access to industry leading software for managing devices and connecting them to host systems.<\/p>\n

\u00e2\u20ac\u0153In developing the OptimusPDA, we focused on delivering a device that would be easy for customers to pick up and realize immediate productivity and efficiency benefits,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d said Mark Schmidt, Metrologic\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s vice president of marketing and product management. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153OptimusPDA supports advanced wireless technologies, uses a familiar Microsoft\u00c2\u00ae Windows-based platform and now ships with the management tools that are familiar to most of our customers.
