Especially when using scanners for multiple purposes, it can be very convenient to keep these key scanner reset codes around.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Factory Defaults:\u00c2\u00a0 The scanner\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s settings that are done at the factory during manufacturing.<\/li>\n<li>Custom Defaults:\u00c2\u00a0 Any changes to the scanner\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s setting that one makes permanent.\u00c2\u00a0 Making changed settings permanent will be the topic of a future Scanner Gram.\u00c2\u00a0 Once Custom Defaults are set up\/saved \u00e2\u20ac\u201c they become \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Factory Defaults\u00e2\u20ac\u009d.<\/li>\n<li>Data Formatting:\u00c2\u00a0 Program the scanner to edit, delete, append scanned data.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Defalt<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Scanning this barcode sets your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.barcodesinc.com\/honeywell\/\">Honeywell<\/a> scanner back to factory default including getting rid of any special Data Formatting you have your scanner doing.\u00c2\u00a0 If there are any saved Custom Defaults (See above Custom Defaults) scanning this barcode takes the scanner back to your saved Custom Defaults \u00e2\u20ac\u201c not all the way to true Honeywell Factory Default.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.barcodesinc.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/1.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-13531 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.barcodesinc.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/1.png\" alt=\"Honeywell resetting to factory default screen\" width=\"198\" height=\"107\" \/><\/a>\u00c2\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Defovr<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Scanning this barcode clears any Custom Defaults that have been saved to your scanner \u00e2\u20ac\u201c but that\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s all it does.\u00c2\u00a0 It does not send your scanner back to Honeywell Factory Default.\u00c2\u00a0 Note one VERY important item &#8211; DEFOVR will disable plugins (EasyDL, Easy BCBP, etc.) and you may need to reach out to tech support to re-enable them.<\/p>\n<p>So if you are not sure what your scanner has been through, and you are sure the scanner has no plugins, and you want to get it back to true Factory Default \u00e2\u20ac\u201c scan Defovr then Defalt.\u00c2\u00a0 That\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s what I am going to be doing going forward when I get demo gear.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.barcodesinc.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-13526 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.barcodesinc.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/2.jpg\" alt=\"Honeywell scanner remove custom defaults barcode\" width=\"154\" height=\"82\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>DFmca3<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dfmca3 is the command that clears any Data Formatting you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve programmed your scanner to do.
