Primera Now Including BarTender Software with Label Printers
Primera has announced it is now providing Seagull Scientific’s award-winning BarTender software for label design and printing with many of its color label printers.
BarTender is the world’s most trusted software for designing and printing labels, barcodes and more. Its four editions address a wide range of printing and marking solutions, from small, stand-alone printing environments at SMBs to large, automated printing infrastructures at large enterprises.
The Primera LX400, LX900, and RX900 Color Label Printers include the BarTender UltraLite Edition, which offers the most frequently used label design features, including most text, graphics, barcode and serializing capabilities.
Primera Announces RX900f Color RFID Printer
New color RFID printer encodes and prints onto foam backed RFID tags.
Primera Technology, Inc., one of the world’s leading manufacturers of specialty printers, today announced the world’s first on-demand RFID printer for printing and encoding onto foam-backed RFID tags. RX900f utilizes the latest in high-resolution color inkjet technology to print onto and encode foam backed RFID tags up to 1/8” (3.175 mm) thick all in a single pass. Print speed is fast at up to 4.5″ (114mm) per second.
The integrated UHF reader/encoder is supplied by RFID industry leader Intermec. It supports EPC Global Class 1 Gen 2 as well as ISO 18000 -6B and -6C.
Built-in, automatic RFID encoding with high-resolution, 4800 dpi color printing makes it ideal for applications that require foam backed RFID tags and human readable and/or unique identification marking that are used on or near metal and liquids.
Printed labels are highly scratch, water, smudge and tear-resistant. Black pigment ink is available for high UV-resistance.
Primera RX900 Color RFID Label Printer

The Primera RX900 is a true “on-demand” printer, which means that it prints, encodes, verifies and dispenses labels one at a time. You can make exactly the number of full-color labels you need when and where you need them.
The built-in UHF reader/encoder module, supplied by RFID industry leader Intermec®, supports ISO 18000-6B, ISO 18000-6C and EPC Global Class 1 Gen 2. The printer is thus ideal for producing full-color, RFID-enabled labels and tags for file folders, asset tracking, garment tags, shipping labels and much more.
Labels from 1″ (25.4mm) wide up to 8.5″ (216mm) wide can be produced. An adjustable antenna position and variable gain settings allow you to precisely aim the RFID signal, ensuring that only one label at a time is written.
