Archelon’s iPad Air enclosure is custom designed to fit the Apple device’s 9.7-inch display and 7.5-millimeter width. It includes the same security and protection as its predecessors, the Archelon EXO. Users can choose from wall mount, table top, and secure flip designs. The enclosure includes a lock and key frame that keeps the tablet secure but accessible as needed. Its tri-axial swivel allows movement in multiple planes: up-and-down, side-to-side, as well as landscape and portrait views.

Cognex Dataman 300 Selected by Leading Warehouse Automation Company

Cognex announced that it has received purchase orders totaling more than $3 million from a U.S. based designer of logistics automation systems. The customer will integrate Cognex DataMan(R) 300 barcode readers into numerous shipping and distribution centers for a major retailer.

The DataMan 300 with Hotbars image analysis technology offers reliable reading of 1-D barcodes that lasers cannot read, including damaged, distorted, blurred, scratched, low height and low contrast codes. Honeywell Dolphin 6110 Mobile ComputerHoneywell has released the Dolphin 6110 upgraded mobile handheld computer to help retail departments or clothing stores accurately track inventory, increase profits and customer satisfaction and improve order fulfillment. The device also helps retail workers conduct merchandise audits and price look ups, and assist customers.

On the outside, the Dolphin 6110 mobile computer looks identical to Honeywell’s popular Dolphin 6100 scanner: it is light, pocket-sized and stylish enough to look good on a retail floor, the company claims. On the inside, however, the Dolphin 6110 has upgraded technology, including an 800 MHz processor, updated barcode scanning and decoding capabilities, increased memory and a broader WLAN radio frequency range.
