What processor does the Zebra TC21 use and how does it compare to other Zebra devices?
The TC21 uses the same Qualcomm SD660 chipset found in Zebra's 'ultimate series' devices, with a faster processor option at 2.2 GHz to maximize application performance. This shared chipset simplifies device support and management across your fleet, making it easier to deploy and maintain multiple Zebra devices in your warehouse or facility.
Is the Zebra TC21 rugged enough for warehouse environments?
Yes, the TC21 is built for business with IP67 waterproof and dustproof ratings, 5-foot drop resistance, and Gorilla Glass protection on both the display and scanner exit window. It can withstand demanding warehouse conditions including exposure to snow, rain, heat, and freezing temperatures while maintaining reliable operation day in and day out.
What wireless connectivity options does the TC21 offer?
The TC21 offers comprehensive wireless connectivity including WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and NFC capabilities. For workers requiring cellular connectivity, we also offer the TC26DK model with integrated WiFi and cellular data, giving you flexibility to choose the right configuration for your indoor or field operations.
How long does the TC21 battery last and can it be replaced without taking the device offline?
The TC21 features a removable, rechargeable battery system that provides up to 10 hours of power with the standard battery or 14 hours with the extended battery option. Since the battery is removable, your workers can swap batteries without taking the device out of service, making it ideal for long or double shifts.
What barcode scanning options are available for the TC21?
We offer three scanning options to match your workflow: the SE4710 scanner for scan-intensive 1D/2D applications with faster barcode capture, the SE4100 for light to moderate scanning requirements, or the integrated 13 MP camera in the base model for occasional barcode capture. Choose the configuration that fits your specific application needs and budget.
Does the TC21 come with enterprise management tools included?
Yes, the TC21 comes with Mobility DNA Professional integrated solutions preloaded and pre-licensed at no additional cost, including powerful tools like StageNow for device staging, DataWedge for barcode data integration, and Device Diagnostics for troubleshooting. For advanced capabilities, we offer the optional Mobility DNA Enterprise License to unlock premium data management and security features.
