The PTX5000 Packet Transport Router provides 10GbE, 40GbE, and 100GbE interfaces for large networks and network applications, including Internet service providers and high-volume content providers.
The PTX5000 is 36 U and can be configured with up to eight Flexible PIC Concentrators (FPCs), each of which can be configured with two PICs and a variety of network media types. The PTX Series system architecture cleanly separates control operations from packet forwarding operations, and eliminates processing and traffic bottlenecks, permitting the packet transport router to deliver extreme performance.
