Digi AccelePort C-X Data Networking Model Overview
AccelePort C-X from Digi supports up to 128 ports from a single slot and hundreds of ports from a single host. It delivers data transmission speeds up to 115.2 Kbps. The powerful on-board processor relieves the host CPU of communication bottlenecks. AccelePort C-X can support up to eight C/CON concentrators. The concentrators can be located up to 1,000 feet (305 meters) from the host server using standard RS-422 cabling. A fiber optic cabling option allows you to locate your workgroups up to 1.25 miles (2 km) apart.

The AccelePort C/X host adapter includes a powerful on-board processor that can support up to 8 C/CON Concentrators, providing up to 128 ports from one slot on your server. With a wide range of platforms and operating environments, the C/X family of concentrators offer a choice of device driver software. Microsoft Windows NT, SCO UNIX, Linux, or AIX, The C/X Family provides all the support you need.
