What barcode types can the Honeywell 8620 ring scanner read?
The Honeywell 8620 High Performance Ring Scanner reads virtually any 1D or 2D barcode with exceptional performance. It incorporates Honeywell's industry-leading Adaptus 6 imaging and decoding technology, which delivers fast decode speeds and the ability to read poor-quality or damaged barcodes that other scanners may struggle with.
Is the Honeywell 8620 ring scanner compatible with mobile computers?
Yes, the 8620 ring scanner integrates seamlessly with the Honeywell Wearable Solution for Dolphin mobile computers. It supports multiple operating systems including Windows Embedded Handheld 6.5, Android 4.4, and Windows Embedded 8.1 Handheld, making it ideal for warehouse and logistics environments.
How does the ergonomic design of the 8620 ring scanner improve worker comfort?
The 8620 features soft rubber finger straps that improve comfort and reduce sliding or rotating on the finger during extended use. The straps are impervious to moisture, easily cleaned, and quickly interchangeable between shifts, addressing both hygiene concerns and worker fatigue in demanding warehouse operations.
What makes the Honeywell 8620 suitable for scanning moving products?
The 8620 provides excellent motion tolerance as a key performance feature, allowing operators to scan products in motion without missing reads. Combined with its high-performance imaging technology and fast decode speeds, it increases productivity and throughput in fast-paced logistics and warehouse environments.
Is the Honeywell 8620 ring scanner rugged enough for warehouse use?
Yes, the 8620 is designed as a rugged, industry-grade scanner built for demanding warehouse and logistics applications. Its durable construction, soft rubber straps that withstand moisture, and reliable Adaptus 6 imaging technology make it suitable for continuous daily use in harsh environments.
How does the 8620 ring scanner mount and interface with wearable solutions?
The 8620 mounts directly on the index finger and interfaces with the wrist-mounted Honeywell Wearable Solution, allowing hands-free scanning operations. This cordless design enables workers to maintain both hands free for picking, packing, or handling products while maintaining constant scanning capability.
