The IDP Smart-31S offers multiple layers of security including password verification with root and user authentication, encrypted USB data transmission, and SSL Protocol support for Ethernet communications. Additionally, the printer includes an optional UV printing panel that allows you to print images visible only under ultraviolet light, making counterfeiting significantly more difficult since the security features are invisible to the naked eye.

The IDP Smart-31S comes configured for single-sided printing, but dual-sided printing is available as an optional upgrade. You can either choose a dual-sided model at purchase or add the field-upgradeable Smart-31 Flipper unit later to enable dual-sided printing without manual card flipping.
