Bosch CNGE8MS Ethernet Switch
Bosch Accessory Model Overview
The ComNet™ CNGE8MS Managed Redundant Ring Ethernet Switch provides robust transmission of four (4) 10/100/1000BASE-T(X) and four (4) gigabit combo ports. The four combo ports are 10/100/1000Mbps configurable for either CAT5-e copper, or multimode or single-mode optical fiber by the use of optional ComNet SFPs. The exclusive ComNet ComRing (C-Ring) protects mission-critical applications from network interruptions or temporary malfunctions with its fast recovery technology. Open-Vision, a powerful, easy-to-use Windows-based utility, allows the CNGE8MS to be centrally managed. Redundant DC inputs are included for uninterrupted operation in the event of a loss of operating power or a power supply failure. Diverse media selection allows for easy implementation of point-to-point, linear add-drop, drop-and-repeat, star, or true self-healing ring and mesh network system architectures. The electrical ports support the 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet IEEE 802.3 protocol, and auto-negotiating and auto-MDI/MDIX features are provided for simplicity and ease of installation. These network- managed layer 2 switches are optically (100/1000BASE-FX) and electrically compatible with any IEEE 802.3 compliant Ethernet device. Unlike most Ethernet switches, these environmentally hardened units are designed for direct deployment in difficult out-of-plant or roadside operating environments. These units are DIN-Rail or wall-mountable

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Zebra HC20 designed for?
The HC20 is a Wi-Fi-only mobile computer designed specifically for clinical and non-clinical healthcare staff. It’s optimized for communication, data capture, and disinfecting, making it suitable for hospitals, outpatient centers, and care homes.
What makes the HC20 safe for healthcare environments?
The HC20 is made from disinfectant-ready healthcare-grade plastics, supports over 30+ cleaning agents, and features a sealed housing and USB-C port to prevent pathogen buildup.
Does the HC20 support hot-swappable batteries?
No, true hot swap is a feature exclusive to the HC50. However, the HC20 does support removable PowerPrecision batteries with real-time health monitoring, ensuring you can still replace them quickly and monitor battery performance.
What wireless connectivity options are available on the HC20?
The HC20 supports Wi-Fi 6, dual-band MU-MIMO, and Bluetooth 5.2, offering reliable, high-speed connections in healthcare environments. Cellular connectivity is not available on this model.
What kind of barcode scanning does the HC20 support?
The HC20 includes the SE4720 1D/2D scan engine with white illumination and green aimer, ideal for scanning patient wristbands, medication, and supplies. It also supports camera-based barcode scanning if the imager is not included in some regions.
Can the HC20 be used for secure communication?
Yes. It supports Zebra's Workcloud Communication for secure push-to-talk (PTT) and PBX voice calling, and it enables secure text messaging compliant with privacy laws—ideal for noisy or confidential environments.
