The Axicon 15500 barcode verifier is designed to read both linear and two dimensional matrix barcodes simultaneously. All the symbols seen in its field of view are verified individually, and the user simply selects each barcode in turn to see the specific results. The field of view - 95mm by 70mm - is the world's largest for a handheld 2D barcode verifier. Linear and 2D barcodes are verified in accordance with the appropriate ISO/IEC standard, with linear barcodes being sampled ten times from top to bottom.
