Socket Communications, the guys that make all the cool little barcode scanners that connect to your Palm or Windows PDA announced today that they will have a ring scanner available by the end of the year, with full production in the beginning of 2006. The scanner will communicate with the PDA via Bluetooth, and the company's SocketScan software will convert the data into input pad or keyboard data, making the scanned data show up like you just entered it manually.
No pictures on the web site as of yet, but we'll keep you posted. One things for sure though, we'll bet it'll be expensive.
