Frequently Asked Questions
What are Zebra 8000T Vinyl Clear labels best used for?
Zebra 8000T Vinyl Clear labels are ideal for wrap-around wire labeling, vial or tube labeling, and applications requiring transparency and flexibility. These clear vinyl labels excel in retail and industrial environments where moisture, chemicals, and abrasion resistance are critical for maintaining long-term readability and adhesion. We offer these labels as a durable solution for product branding and packaging applications.
What temperature range can Zebra 8000T Vinyl Clear labels withstand?
Zebra 8000T Vinyl Clear labels are rated for service temperatures ranging from -40°F to 176°F (-40°C to 80°C), with a minimum application temperature of 50°F (10°C). This wide operating range makes them suitable for both indoor and outdoor industrial applications. Contact us today if you need clarification on specific temperature requirements for your application.
Are Zebra 8000T Vinyl Clear labels resistant to chemicals and moisture?
Yes, Zebra 8000T Vinyl Clear labels provide excellent resistance to moisture, abrasion, and weak to moderate chemical exposure (such as window cleaner and alcohol). However, they are not recommended for harsh or extreme chemical environments like gasoline, oil, acetone, or xylene. We can help you select the right label material for your specific chemical exposure needs—visit barcodesinc.com or contact us today.
What is the label size and roll configuration for Zebra 8000T Vinyl Clear?
Zebra 8000T Vinyl Clear labels are available in multiple configurations, including 0.5x1" (12.7x25.4mm) with 4 labels across and 1x1.4375" (25.4x36.5mm) with 3 labels across. Each roll contains either 5000 or 7500 labels depending on the specific size, with a 3" (76.2mm) core, and comes in a single box. We offer both configurations to meet different labeling requirements.
What printing method should I use with Zebra 8000T Vinyl Clear labels?
Zebra 8000T Vinyl Clear labels are designed for thermal transfer printing and are not recommended for direct thermal printing. The labels feature a clear matte vinyl construction with permanent acrylic adhesive and a self-laminating design that ensures excellent print quality and smear resistance. We recommend using compatible thermal transfer ribbons such as Zebra 5555 or 3200 for optimal results.
How does the permanent acrylic adhesive on Zebra 8000T Vinyl Clear labels perform?
The permanent acrylic adhesive on Zebra 8000T Vinyl Clear labels is highly flexible and provides strong, long-lasting adhesion across a wide range of surfaces including plastics, metal, glass, and curved surfaces. This adhesive formulation maintains its bond in challenging environments with moisture and abrasion exposure. Available from us, these labels are engineered for applications requiring durable, reliable adhesion in demanding industrial and retail settings.
