The card provides simultaneous and independent operations to each port. It connects equipment such as modems, barcode scanners, magstripe readers, GPS receivers, digital cameras or other RS-232 serial devices to your mobile computer. A fully-integrated, ruggedized, fixed cable maintains solid contact in high-vibration situations, such as vehicle-mounted applications. Molded strain-relief protects against lateral stress and seals out dust and moisture. Socket's High-Integration Serial (HIS) chip lowers chip count to improve reliability and maximize battery life.
