The display working in concert with the status lights provides the user specific feedback if the printer is in an off-line state. The ability to use any Intermec printer language and emulate other printer protocols makes the EasyCoder PD42 both fully compatible with other Intermec equipment and a cost-effective "drop-in" printer replacement in almost any non-Intermec firmware environment.
