PortServer TS W from Digi is designed to easily integrate any RS-232/422/485 serial device to an 802.11b wireless Ethernet network. It combines the inherent benefits of data networking with proven asynchronous connectivity to deliver universal, high-performance serial-to-wireless connectivity. The addition of an external antenna increases the range and performance of the wireless TCP/IP connection, enabling users to adapt more readily in environments where cabled LANs are impractical. It also features data security through SSHv2 and WEP 64-bit and 128-bit encryption, and management through SNMP. It is ideal for use in environments where wired LANs are not feasible and where serial devices are periodically moved.
